Connect with your inner witch - Seattle Mountain Witch
Women have long been recognized as deeply intuitive beings, connected to cycles of nature, life, and unseen energies. This sacred intuition—once revered—was later feared and demonized, often being labeled as witchcraft.
For the Witches Who REFUSE TO Be Tamed
Women’s bodies naturally align with the cycles of the moon and tides, mirroring the rhythm of the earth. Ancient cultures honored this as a sacred gift—women were seen as healers, midwives, and oracles.
Before modern medicine, women were the primary healers, using herbs, rituals, and natural remedies to cure illness. Midwives and wise women had deep knowledge of the body, fertility, and plant medicine.
Why It Was Feared: Healing without the church or male doctors' approval was considered witchcraft. Many women were executed simply for practicing what is now considered holistic medicine.
Women have long been the gatekeepers of life—bringing new souls into the world through birth as well as caring for the dying. This intimate knowledge of the body and spirit gave them an almost supernatural presence in communities. In modern society, we may have lost that connection.
But not all of us, and we hall have it within us. We just need to remember.

SIMPLE PRACTICE, Absorbing the Earth’s Energy
Plants are the keepers of the earth’s secrets, growing in the same soil that holds the bones of ancestors, drinking in the sun and moonlight. When you consume them—whether as food, tea, or tincture—you take in that same vital life force.
Mugwort, damiana, and blue lotus enhance dream recall and psychic awareness.
Cacao opens the heart, fostering emotional and energetic connection.
Rosemary, sage, and peppermint cleanse the mind and spirit.
Barefoot on the Earth: The Sacred Act of Grounding
The soles of your feet are rich with nerve endings, designed to feel, sense, and receive information from the world beneath you. Walking barefoot heightens this awareness, making you more in tune with the land, the weather, and the subtle shifts in energy around you.
I took a few shots with a very basic point and shoot film camera, here they are!
Tipsoo Lake is such a fun location for a witchy mountain photoshoot. Long before it became a destination for travelers, Tipsoo Lake was part of the ancestral lands of the Cowlitz, Yakama, Nisqually, and Puyallup tribes. These tribes viewed Mount Rainier (known as Tahoma or Ti’Swaq) as a sacred being, a guardian of the land, and the lake was likely a seasonal resting place during hunting and foraging expeditions.
