The Mountain Has Teeth - Seattle Witchy Empowerment Photographer

This shoot was so exciting. I love going out in the wild and getting creative with another artist. This location is sadly not open anymore. It was one of my favorite places to shoot. Hopefully the land is receiving a much needed break from the many humans who frequented this beautiful place.

Rachel brought a few dresses, I brought a few dresses and some props, and we just got to work! It started to rain but thankfully remained light and we worked through it, and it even added to our mood.

I did not write this but I love it, and I could not have said it better myself.

“To be a witch is to remember. To remember that your body is wise,
your intuition is sacred,
and your connection to the earth is not a coincidence—it’s a calling.

Being a witch is not about spells and potions (though it can be).
It’s about being in rhythm with the moon,
with your breath, with the cycles that move through all living things.
It’s honoring your sensitivity as a strength.
It’s seeing the unseen and trusting the unspoken.

A witch listens before she speaks.
She creates before she consumes.
She heals herself, and in doing so, helps heal the collective.

To be a witch is to walk through the world awake—
to beauty, to injustice, to the web of energy that connects us all.
It is to reclaim your voice, your magic, and your mystery
in a world that once burned women for simply knowing.

You don’t have to wear black, live in the woods, or read tarot cards to be a witch.
You just have to remember:
You are the spell.
You are the ritual.
You are the wild, sacred fire that cannot be put out.”

To be a witch is to belong to yourself.
Fully. Fiercely. Without apology. This is why I love photographing women so much. Don’t make excuses, it is time to be seen even if only by you. To be a witch is to walk as your whole self—
unhidden, untamed, and unafraid.
You don’t need permission.
You are the permission.
